In the -63kg category, Ilaria Tsurkan (SLO), the No.1 seed and now competing under the Slovenian flag, stormed her way to the final with sharp, dominant judo. In a golden score thriller against Aishat Alieva (IJF), Ilaria left it all on the tatami and proudly claimed a World Silver Medal.
Sandra Walendziki (POL) showed nerves of steel in the -44kg division. Our Polish powerhouse kept her composure deep into golden score before striking with a slick seoi-otoshi to secure a brilliant World Bronze Medal — what a statement on the world stage!
In the -48kg category, Barbara Twarowska (POL), already crowned 2025 Cadet European Champion, proved her class once again. A single score was enough to earn her another World Bronze Medal. Barbara’s impact didn’t stop there — she also played a key role in helping Team Poland secure a World Team Bronze Medal.
