Samuel Gassner: Bronze in the Weight Category -73kg
After finishing 5th at his home Grand Prix in Linz a few weeks ago, Samuel Gassner of Austria clinched his first IJF World Tour medal with a massive ippon (full point) in his bronze medal contest. What a strong performance from the Austrian judoka.
Naomi Van Krevel: Bronze in the Weight Category -52kg
24-year-old Naomi Van Krevel of the Netherlands stepped up in style, earning her second Grand Slam bronze in the -52kg category with a slick shime waza (choke hold) finish in the opening minute of her bronze medal match.
