World No.1 Lara Cvjetko of Croatia once again proved she’s in a league of her own. Just days after securing bronze at the European Championships, Cvjetko fought through an exhausting 8+ minute golden scorebattle in the -70kg final. With unshakable grit and a perfect harai-goshi, she secured the ippon and claimed the GOLD medal - her performance leaving no doubt she’s at the very top of the game.
In the -57kg category, Ana Viktorija Puljiz showed she's adapting fast to her new weight division. The Croatian earned her second IJF World Tour medal, claiming bronze with a clinical Ko Soto Gake in the first minute of golden score. A strong statement, and just the beginning of her journey in the -57kg.
Back on the podium and back in business, Lubjana Piovesana rebounded from a tough fifth-place finish at the Europeans in style. Competing in the -63kg, she brought home an emotional bronze medal - her fifth career Grand Slam medal - a true testament to her resilience and championship mindset.
Germany’s Alina Böhm, ranked No.7 in the world, added yet another accolade to her already impressive résumé. In the -78kg category, Böhm captured Grand Slam medal number 11, taking home the bronze on the final day of competition in Dushanbe.
Congratulations to all our athletes for their outstanding performances in Dushanbe! Next stop: Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam in Kazakhstan, where more of our TEAM IPPONGEAR fighters will take the stage.
