Leading the charge was none other than World No. 1 and Vice World Champion Lara Cvjetko (CRO). In the -70kg category, Lara once again showed why she is one of the most dominant athletes in the world. With composure, power, and world-class judo, she stormed her way to Gold, her second of the year and already her third Grand Prix title. Lara’s season so far has been nothing short of remarkable, and this latest victory is another shining milestone on her journey.
But the Croatian success story didn’t stop there. In the +78kg category, Helena Vukovic (CRO) once again proved her fighting spirit. Ranked World No. 10, Helena battled through to yet another World Tour podium. In an epic contest that pushed five minutes into golden score, she secured a hard-fought Bronze Medal, her third World Tour bronze this season. A testament to her grit, consistency, and perseverance.
China’s return to the World Tour was special in itself, but seeing the Croatian women rise to the occasion made it even more memorable. Congratulations to Team Croatia, we are proud to see you shine on the world stage in IPPONGEAR!
