The current U23 European Champion, clinched a bronze medal at her first ever IJF event at the Grand Slam in Antalya last year and since then, the 22 years old Spaniard has rapidly been climbing the World Ranking List. This weekend, she was able to pick up her third Grand Slam medal of her career, stating how she is definitely one to watch for this Olympic cycle.
Matthias Casse: Bronze in the weight category -81 kg
On day two of competition, Matthias Casse of Belgium captured the second medal for Team IPPONGEAR, as he came away with a bronze medal in the category -81 kg. Casse, is one of the most decorated athletes in the -81 kg category and rarely leaves a competition without a medal. This weekend, he made his first appearance on the IJF World Tour after the the Olympic Games by returning to Paris and adding Grand Slam medal number 12 to his impressive collection.
